I'm in Breckenridge, CO this weekend enjoying a long weekend with my son and one of his friends. They are snowboarding....me: relaxing and visiting the many shops and galleries Breckenridge has to offer. This quaint town, located about 2 hours west of Denver (and at 10,000+ ft. altitude) is known for it's year-round offerings of sport offerings from skiing, snowboarding, to hiking and mountain biking along with many shops, restaurants and galleries.
Today the skies were bright blue and the sun was tremendous, especially reflecting off the white mountaintops.
I walked down Main St. and stopped into a local art gallery and was very impressed by Lelija, a Colorado-based multi-media artist who makes her own rice paper and utilizes in her paintings of aspens of varying colors and textures. Her paintings are breathtaking and very textural. I wanted to share her site with you - enjoy looking at her work!
